As a quick recap, in an attempt to help keep spirits afloat during these socially distant times, we started a Furry Friends of Route 1 series featuring your beloved pets!
Hyattsville’s Erika Nizborski kicked off the series with her furry fam members, Maggie & Pearl. In this latest installment, you get to meet Masha (the cat) and Ollie (perro) of University Park.
Meet Masha of University Park

What’s your pet’s name & age: Masha, 2 years old.
What do you love most about your pet: When he comes in my bed at night.
Best friends.
What are some favorite thing(s) your pet likes to do with you? He likes to play with me.
What’s the funniest thing your pet has ever done? Masha has tried to catch a fly behind a glass door! 🤣
What’s your pet’s favorite food: Cat food /milk
Did somebody say “food”?
What do you like best about spending more time at home with your pet? Petting him and playing with him.
Meet Ollie of University Park

What’s your pet’s name & age: His name is oliver he is 6 months old.
My toys. ALL MINE!
What do you love most about your pet: That he snuggles and gives kisses when you make a kissing noise.
What are some favorite thing(s) your pet likes to do with you? Snuggle while I pet him.
What a cuddler!
What’s the funniest thing your pet has ever done? When he is getting exited sometimes he hits his head with his tail!
What’s your pet’s favorite food: Ollie will eat almost anything
