Leah shares: “ This morning 4/5: Giant at Beltway Plaza had zero toilet paper, small inventory of paper towels. Cleaning supplies nearly wiped out, as was dry cat food. Frozen food inventory pretty good. Giant on E/W Hwy had very very little frozen dinner and pizza inventory, very little dry cat food, zero tp and paper towels, very little cleaning supplies. Both stores had good supplies of produce. Fresh meat supply looked normal. Not many customers at both stores. Cashiers will let you bring your own bags, but you must do the bagging. Also visited CVS near Giant at Beltway Plaza and the one near the PG Plaza Metro station and the Walgreens’ that used to be Rite Aid at Rte 1 and Queensbury–no tp. Walgreen’s had no paper supplies at all..”

Glut in Mt Rainier pretty much fully stocked. Eggs, milk, other dairy and non-dairy! Sweet potatoes, cauliflower, greens! Lettuce! Tomatoes. Lemons, limes, mangoes. Not much flour, but brown rice and Basmati. A variety of vinegars and ethnic condiments. Cheeses. Vegan stuff. Dried beans. Bread. Wear a mask and gloves. Cashiers behind shields.

The Giant in Greenbelt had plenty of yeast yesterday. Most shoppers were wearing masks, and they’ve installed plexiglass between the cashiers and customers.

Whole Foods frozen food section is almost completely bare. No frozen veggies, no fries/tots, and no pizzas.
