Dear Route One Buds:
With Thanksgiving *just* behind us, I didn’t want to miss this opportunity to express my gratitude to you all – readers, followers, advertisers, community supporters, cheerleaders – for your support of and love for Route One Fun! From a wee blog that started with just a couple of subscribers to a hyperlocal website that even folks in DC talked about ;), I’ve been both tickled and humbled by its success.
I’m especially proud of the light the website shined these last six years on the amazing local artists, small business owners and wonderful organizations who call the Route 1 Corridor “home.” It was an honor to share the good word about all the magic happening right here.

Which is why when I learned of an opportunity to do similar work on a larger scale, I jumped at the chance! I’m thrilled to share that I recently accepted a position with the Arts & Heritage Division of the Prince George’s County Department of Parks & Recreation!
While I won’t be busy posting new content to Route One Fun, I’m happy to keep the website up for time being so that all of y’all may continue to view and share its evergreen content.
Thank you all for your love and support these last 6 years! Please keep in touch. And as my loverly Irish family would say, “Slán agus beannacht.”
I am excited to follow your new work! Congratulations!!
Thank you for all of your great work over the years! Our family benefited a ton from your posts about the many cool events and places to visit in our area :-). Congratulations on your new job, too – I’m very happy for you!
Congratulations! Best Wishes!!
