In addition to taking care of children’s teeth and gums, CCPDO continues to provide a wealth of support to families and breastfeeding moms whose children are having a hard time latching to the breast. As Dr. Anamelechi explained, some babies are born with lip and tongue restrictions that prevent them from having the perfect latch. When this happens, CCPDO’s New Carrollton and DC offices work with a team of lactation consultants, pediatricians, doulas, midwives and infant chiropractors to help make things better.
