Kids love to splash around this fountain right across from Whole Foods. With surround seating, you might even get a chance to sit down! Pack or lunch or buy from any one of the many nearby spots.

Make your plate more colorful with vegetables you learn to plant. Planting supplies provided. Bring the entire family!

Gymnastics Workshop / Open Gym at PG Sports & Learning Complex (Ages 0-12)

Teen Fitness Night (Ages 10-17)
It’s circuit training time! Learn how to use equipment safely and the many health benefits of exercising. Wear your athletic gear. Be prepared to work up a sweat!

Family Campfire – Animal Awakenings: Migration & More! (Ages 2+)
Enjoy a community campfire with family and friends. Share stories about animal migration and hibernation. Treat yourself to roasted marshmallows!

Irish Dance Competition (All Ages)
Check out an annual Irish dance and music competition featuring over 1,000 performers from around the region of all ages and levels. There’s an Irish soda bread competition too!

Lake Artemesia

Nature Ride (Ages 10+)
Enjoy a spring bicycle ride while experiencing the beauty of the Patuxent Research Refuge’s North Tract’s local wildlife, plants, and historical sites. Learn the importance of reducing your footprint and leaving no trace on this 12-mile guided bicycle ride. Bring your own bike, snack, water bottle, and helmet. Ride is weather dependent.

Memorial Day Movie – Incredibles 2! (All Ages)
Kickoff Memorial Day weekend with a family-friendly movie outdoors. Refreshments and popcorn provided. Bring your blankets and chairs.

Looking Up at the Stars! (All Ages)
