Sensory Santa, PGCPS Sings & Holiday Fun at MPG!

With Thanksgiving in the rear view mirror (aside from the leftovers we’re still making our way through), the holiday season is in full gear! If you’re like my best friend, you’ve got all your holiday shopping done and the house already decorated. Which makes we wonder how we stay friends. 😄  Lucky for the rest of us, the Mall at Prince George’s (Mall at PG) is right around the corner and is having its PREIT Perks Member Weekend this Saturday and Sunday, with special offers like $50 Holiday Rewards Cash after spending $51 (!!!), mini-makeovers, free gift wrapping and more! They’re also hosting great holiday activities, like Sensory Santa, Songs of the Season and a holiday vendor market. Who says the early bird gets the worm?! Read on, turtle doves!

🎅 Sensory Santa – Santa Cares
Sunday, December 3rd, 10:00-11:30am
MPG partnered with Autism Speaks to bring this really cool sensory-friendly opportunity for children with autism and other special needs to connect with Santa and have photos taken in a calming environment and in their own way. Register here!

In recognition of our love for our fur babies, MPG is hosting Family Pet Photos with Santa, where you can get photos of Santa with your best four-legged friend!

🎄 Songs of the Season
Every holiday season, MPG hosts a number of festive musical performances, including performances by our local PGCPS students! 👏
December 2nd, 2-4pm: A Jazzy Christmas with Petra Martin and Trio
December 9th, 2-4pm: Prince George’s County Youth Jazz Ensemble
December 16th, 12-2pm: Largo High School (performing at the Kennedy Center on 12/17!)

🌠 Adopted Families Angel Tree
If the spirit moves you, pick an angel off the tree pictured below, set up behind Santa’s helpers in Center Court, buy a gift for a child in need and drop in the box next to the angel tree this holiday season. I took a look around and ages ranged from 0-18; many requests for coats and toys. Please do what you can to help Ivy Community Charities of Prince George’s County with this great effort to share some holiday cheer with as many children as possible.

🎄 PREIT Perks Member Weekend
Saturday, December 2nd – Sunday, December 3rd
PREIT Perks members (free to join) will receive will receive special offers like $50 Holiday Rewards Cash after spending $51 or more and VIP deals from select stores. On top of that, members will have access to a mini makeovers, free beauty samples at Sephora, free gift wrapping and more! There’ll also be holiday games for kids and your chance to get that photo with Santa done just in time for the holiday cards!  See below for further details! 👏

Thank you to MPG for sponsoring this post! In addition to being a blogger, I’m a mom/lady (sometimes both) who frequents MPG about 2-3x/week and appreciates all they do to support our local community with free, festive, fun events!
