After publishing yesterday’s post on local resources for furloughed families in Maryland and DC, many local businesses along the Route 1 corridor and DC reached out to tell me about their respective specials and discounts for furloughed federal workers during the shutdown. From Town Center Market to Pizzeria Paradiso, Vigilante Coffee, Maryland Meadworks, Shortcake Bakery, Sangfroid Distilling & more – there’s certainly variety enough to satiate your furloughed appetite!
