Bushfires Devastating Wildlife

Our Route One Buds in Australia’s New South Wales have been sharing updates in information on the devastation happening in Australia:

“The Wingham Brush canopy is almost gone and our resident flying fox population is in strife thanks to a lack of food, water, and heat stress. Volunteers have been taking care of the orphaned babies. They are tiny, wear nappies, hug a little soft pillow and suck on a [pacifier].”

“Rescued this previous guy this this morning. He was sitting at the base of the tree and too weak to move. He was VERY dehydrated and distressed. Our friend struggled to climb up a few feet and proceeded to drink about 300 mills of water – by hand. Our wildlife is suffering.”
