Voice Beyond the Wall – Fundraiser for RAICES
This documentary captures the interactions of an American poet and his class of teenage girls at a Honduran orphanage.

Cost: Free (donations and portion of concessions will go to the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services) in their effort to provide legal support to immigrants and reunite families separate at the border.
UMD Observatory Open House
Dr. Elizabeth Ferrara talks about “Pulsar Timing Arrays: Using the Galaxy to Detect Gravitational Waves.” In addition to this great talk, you can usually get a tour of the observatory and observing if the weather permits. (They make the observing decision on the spot.) Bring bug spray for the observing portion of the program.

MOM’s Organic Market Re-Opening

50th Anniversary: Yellow Submarine
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, The Beatles “Yellow Submarine” will be returning to the big screen for a very special cinema event! The music-loving inhabitants of Pepperland are under siege by the Blue Meanies, a nasty group of music-hating creatures. The sympathetic Beatles ride a yellow submarine to the occupied Pepperland, where the Blue Meanies have no chance against the Fab Four’s groovy tunes.
