MOM’s Organic Market Re-Opening
Much awaited grand re-opening of MOM’s in the former REI space! Local tastings, kids’ activities, giveaways and much more!

Combine summer activities with a little history about the county we live in – and learn about the story that changed a Prince George’s County pool forever. It’s also a great way to introduce your kids to theatre! The show is 90 minutes, no intermission. My review of #poolparty here.

6th of July Fireworks
Fireworks spectacular event held to celebrate Independence Day. Festivities will include food trucks and DJ Flava from 93.9 WKYS, who will be spinning the hottest beats, while enjoying a beautiful evening on the Waterfront!

Forklift First Friday (and a Pop-Up Fabric Shop!)
This will be a particularly kid-friendly First Friday! We’re having a face painter (free!), and Artist & Craftsman Supply Hyattsville will be joining us with a bubble painting activity! Join us as for the party (live music from Bellwether Bayou & Slim Rosa), local art, food (Urban Bumpkin BBQ), and craft beer & wine – and this month, the chance to get designer fabrics at a Forklift price! Berwyn Heights Boys & Girls Club – Free Soccer Clinic (Ages 5-15)

Futsal! (Ages 6-17)
DYK that you can play indoor soccer at some of our nearby community centers during open gym! You can! Though the word needs to get out as it was just my son and Hubs the most recent Saturday….You must have a valid M-NCPPC ID card. And call ahead to confirm. Great way to expend some energy on these hot days!
When: 9-10am at PG Plaza Community Center; 2-4pm at Bladensburg Community Center

Toddler Time @ Art Works Now

See the Universe! Visit our observatory, look through club members’ telescopes, or bring your own. Event will be canceled if it’s too cloudy to see any stars. Sponsored by the Astronomical Society of Greenbelt.
