2018 Memorial Day Events Along Route One Corridor, Prince George’s County

Here is an alphabetical list of Memorial Day remembrance ceremonies and events happening in and around the Route One Corridor to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country:

Bowie Memorial Day Parade
This year’s Parade Grand Marshall is Robert West, a Vietnam veteran who served with the United States Air Force. Our Honored Guest is Major General Rodger Blunt, United States Army (Ret). The Parade will also feature a variety of veteran groups, seven bands, including the United States Fife and Drum Corp, Bowie State University Marching Band. Bowie High School Marching Band, John F. Nicoll Pipes & Drums, dancing groups, and an assortment of civic organizations.When: 11am

Bladensburg Memorial Day Observance
When: 11am
Where: Peace Cross, 4500 Annapolis Rd, Bladensburg

Brentwood Memorial Day Observance
When: 10am
Where: Veterans’ Memorial Park, 4301 37th St, Brentwood

College Park Memorial Day Observance
Bring pictures of those who serviced our country, so they can be displayed at the observance.When: 11am
Where: Route 1 & Greenbelt Rd, College Park

Greenbelt Memorial Day Observance
Sponsored by the American Legion Post 136.
When: 11am
Where: Old Greenbelt Town Center (across from Generous Joe’s), Greenbelt

Laurel – Join Memorial Day Ceremony 
This weekend, come out and take part in the Joint Memorial Day Service honoring and remembering those in the Laurel Police Department, American Legion Post 60, Laurel Volunteer Fire Department and Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad.
When: 11am
Where: Ivy Hill Cemetary, 1201 Sandy Spring Rd, Laurel

North Brentwood Memorial Day 
Citizens are invited to join the Mayor, Town Council and other elected officials – for the Town of North Brentwood’s annual Memorial Day program at Veteran’s Memorial Garden.When: 10am
Where: Veterans Memorial Garden, Allison & 40th Street, North Brentwood
