New Tree Sculpture Coming to University Park!

A little birdy told me that a new tree sculpture will be made out of this tree stump, greeting folks as they head to / by the new playground opening soon in University Park! More about the playground, here.

As with the other tree sculptures who call University Park their home, local sculptor Don Becker will complete his work via chainsaw! I managed to walk by as he was completing this Owls sculpture (pictured below) a couple of months ago. Really cool to see him work and witness these stumps take on a new life. More about the Owls in this post here.

My story here about this Yellow-Crowned Night Heron.

And isn’t Kermit looking handsome!?!
