Photo-Adventure Scavenger Hunts
Using clues, hunt on trails for sculptured stones, mystery object, plants and animals while learning about the history and features of the refuge. A camera or cell phone is needed.

Juneteenth Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. At this free, family event, enjoy the cultural heritage of African Americans through live music, art, dance and crafts.

Imagine Family Day Fest and Book Fair
Join us of a free day of fun for the entire family, with interactive and education community festivities designed to celebrate the cultural and artistic diversity in Prince George’s County. Featuring vendors market and book fair, moon bounce, face painting, Early Keepers Workshop, Live Art Activity, DJ Super Sid, Food Trucks.

Eastern Rhodes Public Place Opening
On this Father’s Day weekend, we invite your family and pups to Eastern Rhodes Public Place at the “V”, a temporary public park located at the corner of Eastern and Rhode Island Ave. Kids’ activities as well (special guest appearance from our Paw Patrol friend).

Indian Creek Playground
Any time this weekend, check out this really fun and creative playground designed after Berwyn Heights’ earliest residents – a group of Algonquian people known as Nacotchtank. Anacostia Riverwalk Trail – Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens
Head to Bladensburg Waterfront Park (BWP) and explore the 4-mile segment of the Trail now connecting the District with BWP! We packed lunches, parked at BWP and then walked the Trail all the way to Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. It was lovely! Grab a bit of respite at Kenilworth, maybe eat that lunch you packed and then head back to BWP, where the kids can play/climb/laugh in an old B & O caboose.
