Riverdale Park Farmers Market
One of my fave farmers markets! We love strolling around the Riverdale Park Farmers Market, buying some fresh, local produce, grabbing a bite from one of the vendors and then heading to Town Center Market for a tasty beverage.

Albertina Carri’s second feature is a documentary with fictional elements about the Argentine dictatorship of the 1970’s and 1980’s. It looks at Argentina’s recent history from the perspective of a generation forced to mourn those of whom they have no recollection.

Thursday Night Music Series – Singer-Songwriters Sam McCormally and Will McKinley-Ward
Eat some good Mediterranean food, support a local Mt. Rainier restaurant and listen to local singer-songwriters Sam McCormally and Will McKinley-Ward. Always a fun time and can attest that their falafels, with some special sauce, will make you return for more!

The Bassett Blowers
Come enjoy some classical tunes with the Bassett Blowers, a local UMD student-led trip featuring a clarinet, bassoon and horn and learn about the JTCC.

Third Hyattsville Zombie Run! 5K Race
Not just for kids! Hyattsville Zombie Run is a fun 5K race to raise money to support Hyattsville Elementary School. Dress up as a zombie or any Halloween costume to add to the fun!

Festival del Rio Anacostia
Celebrate the outdoors and the Anacostia River. From hands-on activities, crafts, entertainment, delicious ethnic food and more, there’s something for everyone! Experience the outdoors with new eyes as you join nature walks, boat trips, and see local fish and birds close up. All activities are conducted in Spanish.

HyFest #2
HyFest is back and hy-er than before! This event is put together by a group of Hyattsville musicians focused on local music and highlighting the local arts scene. 5 bands + 2 breweries (Denizens and Streetcar 82) + food truck + vendors + Centipede arcade game!

Bladensburg Waterfront Park will transform into an African marketplace when artists, storytellers, dancers and food vendors from Senegal to Somalia converge to celebrate Africa! Come dressed as your most glorious African garb and stroll the marketplace where kente cloth weavers and leatherworks will practice centuries-old art. Storyteller, sacred drumming, dancing, fashion show & more!
