Hair Cuttery is coming to Riverdale Park Station. As shared in the Riverdale Park Station blog here, it will be located next to Jersey Mike’s Subs (across from District Taco & Mod Pizza).
While not the most exciting news, we’ve always had good to decent experiences there with haircuts for the kids. And for the low-maintenance hubs.
As reported in the Hyattsville Wire here last year, the City of College Park acquired the block including the College Park Hair Cuttery (as well as Smoothie King, Subway & Shanghai Cafe) and plans to redevelop that area into a new City Hall, among other things. This move possibly prompted Hair Cuttery to consider its move to Riverdale Park Station. Or maybe it’s a new one altogether. Who knows? If you do, enter in the comments below!
What else would you like to see at Riverdale Park Station? Share your thoughts in the comments. We know we’d love some retail options. And, of course, the elusive indoor playspace (think tumbles, indoor gym) for children.

I talked to Arthur who cuts my hair at the CP Hair Cuttery and he said the plan is that CP location is closing Dec. 24th and the new one will open Dec. 27th.

I love Merina at CP Hair Cuttery. Hope she’s making the move too (if that’s what this is).
I’d love to see a privately owned pharmacy (do those still exist?) at RPS; also, a bakery/ice cream shop and a yoga/barre studio.

Hi Rachel – Sounds like you’ve found a good stylist in Merina; that’s great! There’s a privately-owned pharmacy in Hyattsville (by DeMatha). Have you tried them out?

Too bad, they can’t get a better quality salon. My experience with the College Park Hair Cuttery was not good. ..bad hair cuts and a dirty place. I was disappointed to read they were moving into Riverdale Station. The salon on Rte 1 near Jefferson closed after a few years.

Yeah, not the most exciting news. Sorry to hear about your bad experience there. We’ve had good luck with Reniee in case that’s any help.
