About the Exhibitions

Winter Blues

Who says having the blues are bad? Resident artists were challenged to use a limited “cool” color palette in “Winter Blues.” Featuring work with mostly purple, blue, green, black, or white colors, “Winter Blues” brings the chilly winter weather inside the gallery for the months of January and February. Get lost in the cosmos with pieces like Charmaine Jones’ “Space Nebula” or Keith Lewis’ “Galaxy Graphics.” See evocative portraits in Eric Atkinson’s “The Scheme” or Imani Turner’s “Boxer,” or simply enjoy the peace of nature in Paul Lewis’ “Glacier” or Sarah Swan’s “Moonlight Meditation.” Bring a warm sweater and check out “Winter Blues” today!

Touchstone Artists at Art Enables

Founded in 1976, Touchstone Gallery is located in a custom-built street-level space at 901 New York Avenue NW, Washington, DC. Since the beginning, Touchstone’s mission has remained unaltered: to enrich the lives of the community through diverse contemporary art exhibitions; to promote a rich variety of art talent in the DC region; to showcase national and international artists whenever possible, and to foster continuing artistic and career growth of its 50 member artists through encouragement and support.  A selection of member artists will exhibit in “Touchstone Artists at Art Enables” to include Mary D. Ott, Linda Bankerd, Leslie Blackmon, Harvey Kupferberg, Paula Lantz, Sonya Michel, and BD Richardson.
