Handmade Holiday Ornament Workshop
Make paper ornaments with bits of old books, bitty snowglobes out of salt shakers, diorama ornaments with tiny figurines and lots of glitter– or anything else you’d like to create! Tons of vintage material available and technique will be suggested to help you realize your festive vision!

termiNATION
termiNATION is an in-process movement-based solo work investigating life and death through the lens of a pregnant war widow. Inspired by an adolescence and early adulthood steeped in the events of post-9/11 and the recent inauguration of Donald Trump, this piece explores the role women have to play as we carry this new era of politics to term.

Paint Branch Creek, an acoustic musical collaboration (featuring many neighbors!) rooted firmly in Americana plays this weekend! Cheer on our neighbors and buds with this big unveiling of their new tunes! Original songs sung by local favorites Eric Maring, Allison Hughes, Greg Heelan, Patrick Lynch and Arun Ivatury with lyrics by Eric Olson.

J Pope and the HearNOW at the Listening Room
Check out J Pope at the HearNow – a hip-hop/alt-Soul/funk group from Baltimore. Known for their high energy performances and intense, rigorous compositions! Read about my awesome time checking out a show at Brentwood Arts Exchange!

College Park ParkRun
Head out on for a weekly, free, 5K, timed run. Afterwards, enjoy a post parkrun coffee in The Board & Brew, 8150 Baltimore Ave, College Park. All ages welcome!

Third Saturday Reading with Sid Gold
This month’s readers features two Baltimore writers, journalist, music critic and poet Jordannah Elizabeth and the ever-hip, somewhat surreal poet and fictioneer Justin Sanders. In addition, our third reader is the well-known Takoma Park figure Mary Hatem. Followed by open reading hosted by Sid Gold of the Washington Writer’s Guild. Always a grand time. Light refreshments available.

Heroes Bowl VII
Head to this fun football game where the Hyattsville Police Officers will face off against the Volunteer Fire Department! We went last year and had a fun time. Great way to be with and to support our local community. Bring your own seating and, if can, a new, unwrapped toy to donate for the Sonny Frazier Toy Drive, benefiting children in our community who would otherwise not receive gifts at the holidays.

We’re diving into the new images of Black feminism and dissecting what it really means to be pro-woman!

Skating Like I’ve Got Nothin’ to Lose
Check out this night of skate photography, film and deck art created by the artists of today’s skate community in the PG County/DC Area. Pabst Blue Ribbon will be joining the fun, so come out and enjoy some PBR! You won’t want to miss this night of DJs, skaters, beers, and lots of talented artwork from leaders within the skate community!

42nd Annual Edward M. Felegy High School Honor Concert
