Volunteering at Holiday Time: Recommendations, please!

A number of Route One Fun readers have reached out to me asking for recommendations on places to volunteer during the holiday season. (And yes, we all get that volunteering year-round would be ideal, but let’s welcome any interest as a first step towards that goal.)
