Good morning! Thank you all for reading these updates and sharing your insights with friends, neighbors and our Route One Fun community. Since mid-March, we’ve been doing this updates and you’ve all been wonderful with chipping in on what you see / don’t see while doing your own grocery shopping. We’ve heard time and again that your insight has helped your Route 1 neighbors decide where to go / avoid during these Covid-19 times.
It is now the middle of May and while things are not back to normal yet, they are better than they were when we started doing these posts, so this will be our last week of daily Grocery Store updates. Starting next week, we will do a weekly Grocery Store Update post on Route One Fun’s Facebook and Instagram pages, where you can comment with your daily insights and folks can scroll through to learn the latest information.
Thank you all for helping us with this effort! It’s been great reading your insights and seeing you commitment to help one another.
On a related note, if there are other topics that you’d like us to cover OR if there’s something that you’d like to write about for Route One Fun, let us know!

Yesterday evening Whole Foods was very well stocked. Fruits and veggies were plentiful. Meats were certainly not what they usually are, but there was a little bit of everything. The pasta aisle, frozen veggies and pizzas were still pretty depleted, but there was more than usual. This has nothing to do with stock, but it is worth noting that the last two times I have been to WF, the cashiers have been incredible. Both men were just a joy to interact with, which isn’t unusual, but their expressions of concern for my family and also gratitude for having jobs were beautiful. Yesterday the cashier said that he and I were both blessed to still have jobs (I am a teacher) and then said, “But unlike you, I am blessed to be able to leave my house for work.” I got everything I needed at WF yesterday and then some. Thank you to all grocery store workers for keeping us fed.
Lidl had TP, napkins, flour, and sugar yesterday!

John H shares: “Shoppers this AM: Produce not bad; not a lot of variety in fruit. Lots of flour; no TP, very little in terms of paper products. Butter/dairy pretty well stocked. It’s slowly getting better but we were able to find everything we needed today.”
