Gymnastics Workshop / Open Gym at PG Sports & Learning Complex
This place is really great for 1-12 year olds! HUGE. Two climbing walls. Two foam pits. Tons of equipment for curious ones to explore and blow off some steam. Very clean. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parents are required to be on the floor with the children (Maximum 3 child:1 adult). Check out my review here!

Join us for an outdoor movie night hosted by Mount Rainier Elementary PTO. We will be screening Ferdinand! After Ferdinand, a bull with a big heart, is mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure.

Learn how paper is recycled by doing it yourself. Turn shredded paper into a handmade card, and make a colorful envelope to go with it. Enjoy other games and activities related to recycling. This is a drop-in program: come when you wish and leave when you’re ready.

Dust off your superhero costumes and unite with other caped crusaders at MPG to celebrate Superhero Day. Take photos with Black Panther, Batman, Captain America, Wonder Woman and Nakia. Enjoy a superhero ring toss game. Make your own superhero mask & meet the superheroes from Hyattsville VFD and Prince George’s County Fire and EMS!

Join us for some fantastic jump roping action as DC Retro Jumpers will be on hand to show you (and you family and friends) how to Double Dutch! All ages and experience levels are welcome!

Head to Bladensburg Waterfront Park (BWP) with your bikes and explore the 4-mile segment of the Trail now connecting the District with BWP! We packed lunches, parked at BWP and then walked the Trail all the way to Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. It was lovely! Grab a bit of respite at Kenilworth, maybe eat that lunch you packed and then head back to BWP, where the kids can play/climb/laugh in an old B & O caboose.

The Challenge: Descubre El Bosque
(Discover the Forest) with your family at the Cheverly Town Park. Join the national competition to observe the most animals and plants in your area. Discover and learn through hand-on experience!
Bring your cellphone or tablet with the app, iNaturalist installed, Water bottle, Snacks, Sunscreen, a great attitude to learn and discover! Prizes, kids activities, food and lots of fun!
