Missing Sports? Learn Tennis in 3 Weeks w JTCC!

Hey grown folks: Tired of doing the same old things? Us, too. So when the JTCC reached out to tell us about their 3-week introductory Discover Tennis program, we were eager beavers ready to try it out! After all, who wouldn’t be up for the chance to meet new people and learn how to play a new, social sport for just $59? Best of all during these pandemic times: Tennis is a non-contact sport; a net literally divides the players!

Beautiful tennis courts inside and out!

We tried Discover Tennis this past summer and had an absolute blast! ($59 covers the cost of 6 lessons over three weeks for you and a friend.) We went from aimlessly whacking tennis balls in week one to mindfully rallying the ball to players across the court by week two.

And by week three? We can proudly say that we now actually know how to play tennis and plan to continue playing this fun sport.

JTCC Discover Tennis

The JTCC has courts inside and out. Our course was in the thick of summer so we opted to play indoors (w/ open air on both sides of building).

The next Discover Tennis program kicks off October 9th. Do yourself a favor and check it out with a friend. It’s honestly so much fun, the instructors are top notch and tennis is a wonderful way to get active. In the meantime, here’s more about the great program from the JTCC’s Adult Director, Jordan Zimmerman.

JTCC’s Discover Tennis

Discover Tennis is an introductory program open to everyone, whether you’re starting or restarting tennis. In three weeks, you’ll discover the gameplay of tennis by experiencing it firsthand, no standing in line and waiting! Plus, you’ll also receive a complimentary membership during your enrollment to enjoy the other benefits of our club – including wellness classes and group workouts.

Why tennis? I’m so glad you asked!

Tennis is the Perfect Social Distance Sport

Tennis has numerous health benefits, and the social distancing is built in! Additionally, you’ll be training under the watchful eye of experienced coaches at one of the top facilities in the United States.

No Experience? No Gear? No Problem!

We’ll handle the gear, you bring the energy! Also, every registration for Discover Tennis is good for two people, which means if you’ve got a friend or family member to bring along they play for free.

Pick an racquet, any racquet!

It’s Time to Start Getting Back Out There

We’ve all felt the loss of connection during the pandemic. Being able to be outside and have something to look forward to each week makes us all feel a little better, especially when it’s as fun as Discover Tennis!
