Storytime PopUp! @ The Waterhole
Storytime tucked inside a delicious juice bar in Mount Rainier! Curious? Check out our post about Storytime here. Round out your visit with a trip to the nearby Nature Center (also free!).

Performance Camp – At the Circus
Check out an original show of dances and monologues inspired by the people, animals, sights and sounds of the circus. Youth performers featured!

Summer Skate Series (Ages 8-17)
Lace up some skates and come and roll in the gymnasium. Bring your own skates or let them provide a pair for you! Parents, you’re always welcome here!

Outdoor Summer Movie Series: Coco (All Ages)
District 2 representatives are bringing the family fun this summer. Enjoy a movie outdoors and fill up on yummy treats to support local PTA/Os. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Get cozy under the stars!

Engineering 101
Learn engineering basics through an interactive, hands-on challenge. Construct your own design from plans to prototype. Learn something new – have fun! Stick around and enjoy the museum afterwards.

BTS Shopping Party
Get ready for Back to School and have a great time at MPG with some fun activities! Have your photo taken with the Genie lamp from the show Disney’s Aladdin The Musical! Art Works Now will do fun badge making activity. Strolling Characters, Sparkle Makeovers & more! First 100 kids in line for BTS Shopping Party get a free backpack!

Tail Waggin’ Tutors (Ages 5-12)
Talk about nifty! Kids get to read to a specially trained therapy dog. Each slot is 15 min. Kids can bring a book or choose one from the library. Sign-up in advance!

Annapolis Stand Up Paddleboard (Teens)
Intro lesson to stand up paddle boarding. Equipment included, first time paddlers and beginners welcome! Take some time after the lesson to practice your paddle stroke!

Movies in the Park (All Ages)

Best Horse Show Series (All Ages)

Kids Show – Groovy Nate (All Ages)
It’s a fun and educational show with various genres of music and puppet skits! Kids and adults are encouraged to move, sing, and play creatively with one another. Enjoy!

Hirshhorn/Draw (All Ages)
A super cool sounding drop-in gallery sketching session. Create your own masterpiece with inspiration from the Abstract Expressionist paintings at the museum. Everyone’s an artist here – no experience required!

Kids Culture Day: Buhe Celebration
Experience an annual Ethiopian celebration for children at the local embassy. The holiday festival takes place in the rainy season and includes a special door-to-door singing ritual. Come see what the long-standing tradition is all about!
