Join us on Thursday, June 2nd, at the Publick Playhouse for the world premiere of the animated documentary-style film entitled, The Bell Affair, followed by a discussion with the creators. In the early 1800s, Daniel and Mary Bell sued for their freedom from slavery– and won. Join us as their inspiring story is brought to the cinema for the first time.

This event is co-presented by Joe’s Movement Emporium and the Prince George’s Publick Playhouse, a facility of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Department of Parks and Recreation.
