Easter Egg Hunts & Activities for Route 1 Kids

Check out all the fun Easter activities happening for Route 1 kids this weekend! Easter Egg Hunts Greenbelt, Mount Rainier and more! Bunny Breakfast in Lanham. Easter Extravaganza and Kid Karnival in Edmonston. Riverdale Heights Easter Block Party & more – all this weekend! Open to all!

Friday Easter Fun Along Route 1

Underwater Egg Hunt (6-months to 15 years)
A playful twist on the traditional egg hunt. Kids make a splash in water searching for eggs! Egg hunts in age groups. Limited to the first 35 kids in each age group. Reserve your spot in advance at 301-397-2204.
When: 10am-1pm
Where: Greenbelt Aquatic & Fitness Center, 101 Centerway, Greenbelt
Cost: $1-$2

Saturday Easter Fun Along Route 1 

Bunny Breakfast & Egg Hunt (Kids 34 inches+)
Easter egg hunt at indoor moon bounce and jump house. Hunt for eggs in huge inflatable arenas. Keep your eyes out for the Easter Bunny and find a golden egg. Continental breakfast included.
When: 9-10:30am
Where: 4230 Forbes Boulevard Suite H, Lanham
Cost: $14 per child, $5 per adult

Easter Eggstravaganza 2019
Join us for our fifth annual Eggstravaganza! Egg hunts, relay races and egg catches, moonbounces, mini-golf and carnival-style games. Hot dogs, lemonade, cotton candy and popcorn provided.
When: 10am-1pm
Where: Field between Sussex Lane and Route 450 (across from Bowie Library), Bowie
Cost: Free!

Annual Egg Hunt (18 months to 4th grade)
Celebrate spring at this egg-citing event! Bring your baskets and collect all the eggs, maybe even a shiny golden egg! Egg hunt begins promptly at 10am. Expect a special visit from Mr. Bunny so don’t forget your cameras!
When: 10am-3pm, call weather hotline morning of hunt for updates 301-474-0646
Where: 599 Crescent Road, Greenbelt
Cost: Free!

Springtime Egg Hunt (Ages 0-10)
Mark your calendars! The 4th annual Springtime Egg Hunt will take place @ the Mount Rainier Nature Center. Candy, games (in addition to the egg hunt), and Bugs Bunny! BYOB- Bring your own basket!
When: 11am-2pm
Where: 4701 31st Place, Mount Rainier
Cost: Free!

2nd Annual Easter Egg-Travaganza (Egg Hunt)
Enjoy a day of activities including pictures with the Easter Bunny, arts and crafts, and live DJ, and of course an egg hunt. There’ll be boat rides, food and beverages, vendors, games/prizes, giveaways/raffles and more!
When: 12pm
Where: Bladensburg Waterfront Park, 4601 Annapolis Road, Bladensburg
Cost: Free!

PreddieCooks Easter Extravaganza & Kid Karnival
Two springtime fun events in one! Egg hunt with brunch for adult and kids, followed by carnival-style fun. Music, prizes, face painting and concessions. Photos with the Easter bunny and live cooking demos by Chef Preddie. Easter gift baskets available for purchase. Proceeds to support a local children’s charity.
When: 12-7pm
Where: 5200 Kenilworth Avenue, Edmonston
Cost: Free admission, certain things require donation

Riverdale Heights Easter Block Party
All are welcome to enjoy this free community event, featuring food, games, bounce house, activities and music! Easter Egg hunt (Ages 1-8) at 2pm; 5×5 Soccer Tourney at 2:30pm.
When: 1-4pm
Where: William Wirt Middle School, Riverdale
Cost: Free

Riverdale Heights Easter Block Party

Easter Egg Hunt (Kids 34 inches+)
It’s an inflatably great Easter Egg Hunt! Search for Easter eggs hidden in and around our Pump It Up’s huge inflatable arenas. Who will find the Golden Prize eggs this year? Maybe you’ll see an Easter Bunny too! Don’t forget the baskets! Event includes pizza.
When: 7-9pm
Where: Pump It Up, 4230 Forbes Boulevard Suite H, Lanham
Cost: $14 per child, $5 per adult at the door

Sunday Easter Fun Along Route 1 

Easter Egg Hunt
Easter is here! Drop by this egg hunt event for food, games, and face painting. Free easter buckets for the first 30 kids and photos with the Easter bunny.
When: 1-5pm
Where: 6880 Walker Mill Road, Capitol Heights.
Cost: $10

Fort Washington Community Easter Egg Hunt
Come one. Come all. Reading of Alice in Wonderland by the Easter Bunny followed by egg hunts, playground funtime and games like ring the rhino, eggy dye crafting, and face painting.
When: 3-6pm
Where: Fort Washington Park, 13551 Fort Washington Road, Fort Washington
Cost: Free
