A Place To Walk To serving shrimp and grits!

YUMyumYUMyumYUMyumYUM!

2/7/20 Update: A Place To Walk To is now open!

Have a hankering for shrimp and grits? How about chicken and waffles? Well, keep your eyes on A Place To Walk To because this new comfort food restaurant is opening soon in Hyattsville’s University Town Center! In addition to the above delights, this gourmet spot will be serving up divine dishes like salmon and shrimp over mac-n-cheese, blueberry and bourbon waffles, cheesesteak eggrolls, curry chicken, sides of collard greens and more! We could go on but we’re so busy salivating that we’re finding it hard to function!

A Place To Walk To, Comfort Food in Hyattsville

Since 2016, A Place To Walk To has been serving its highly popular comfort food dishes from a roving food truck. Now, they’re bringing their goodness to Hyattsville’s University Town Center.

A Place To Walk To, Gourmet Restaurant, will serve comfort food in Hyattsville

The new restaurant will be opening up in the former 5 Guys location (across from Safeway and Qdoba).

A quick look at their Facebook pages shows glowing reviews, a welcome glimpse of what’s to come at their brick and mortar location in Hyattsville. Check out this review by Juanita Cage Lewis:

“Wow, these young brothers have been to our work site twice. The first time I had the shrimp and grits; the best I have ever had so far. Today, I had chicken and waffles. You know how it is when you get chicken and waffles and the chicken isn’t seasoned well ~ let me tell you it was delic!! I can’t wait until they return next Wednesday with something different each time. Oh, they had grilled salmon, ox tail, mac and cheese and so much more.”

Gourmet Twist on Comfort Food

According to the restaurant’s Facebook page: “We are a food truck that operates with the love of a home kitchen, by putting a gourmet twist on your favorite comfort foods. Our food makes you family!!!” With dishes like these, we can’t wait to be your Aunties!

That’s great to hear, Jermaine! We haven’t had the pleasure of trying the food yet but based on all of the positive reviews, we’re in for a treat!
