Their HyBall (Hyattsville Ball) arts parties / fundraisers are notorious for producing the type of over-the-top fun that makes the morning after full of wonderful recaps, hilarious photo ops and perhaps momentary befuddlement, i.e. Did we really do that?!? Join Brentwood Arts Exchange and Arts on a Roll every second Thursday in May, June, and July for a creative and fun night of art making in a gallery setting with Creative Spirits, a series of art and sip summer events. It doesn’t matter if you can’t draw a straight line or if you are Picasso, our professional instructors will guide you through the process of creating an original piece of art to take home. I had observed the BAE in action in all but the music side of things, so when I was feeling the itch for a show but didn’t want to traipse into DC, I took a look at their lineup and was intrigued by the loop pedal-ing ways of upcoming performer Be Steadwell.
