Pizzeria Paradiso’s Spring Fest is this Saturday!

This weekend – with Pizzeria Paradiso’s Spring (Beer) Fest, Gateway Arts District’s Open Studios Tour, cycling through our area’s aviation history, alight dance theatre’s Faerie, Festival of Literary Arts & more – is a prime example of how awesome it is to live along Route One in Prince George’s County! Pat yourself on the back!

Southern Fried Woodcuts Exhibit
Explore the work of Sean StarWars. Full of Hillbilly Alligators, Drunken Hot Dogs and more! My review here.

Riverdale Park Farmers Market

We love strolling around the Riverdale Park Farmers Market, buying some fresh, local produce, grabbing a bite from one of the vendors and then heading to Town Center Market for a tasty beverage.

Speedball Demo 
Artist and Craftsman will be hosting a free demo at Pyramid courtesy of Speedball. The demo will feature Artists Bill Fick and Carlos Hernandez creating a collaborative print with Speedball’s professional relief and silkscreen inks.

Maryland Milestones Book Launch

Cycle Through Aviation History
Discover 250 years of flight in a guided bicycle tour along the Anacostia River trails, from the first balloon flight in America to intriguing 20th century inventions and industry. The ride will be a flat 10 mile loop with snacks provided; some riding on quiet streets, but mostly off-road, paved trails. Persons 16 & under must be accompanied by an adult. Festival of Literary Arts
Join this literary consortium that celebrates the intersection of authors, poets, screenwriters, visual artists, literary entrepreneurs with personal journeys, career paths, and dream building throughout Prince George’s County. FOLA is meant to inspire dreams and reinvigorate dormant ideas, while celebrating cultural and creative diversity.

Spring Beer Fest

We invite you to join us in celebrating spring, all things pizza and beer, and the diverse, artistic community that is Hyattsville. Independent breweries including Denizens’s Brewing Co, Streetcar 82 Brewing Co, DC Brau Brewing Co, Flying Dog Brewery & more! Local vendors, lawn games, live music (and if you have kiddos, Art Works Now will be offering child care and entertainment).

2018 Spring Open Studios Gateway Arts District 
Catch the DC region’s largest one-day visual arts festival! The self-guided tour (see link for downloadable map) takes place in the Gateway Arts District along Route 1 in Prince George’s County, MD in the towns of Mount Rainier, North Brentwood, Brentwood and Hyattsville.
