Us and Us Only formed as a trio in Baltimore around 2009. After self-releasing four EPs that vary between acoustic arrangements to a warped vision of indie rock featuring chopped and sampled vocals alongside more dense and distorted soundscapes, the band has settled into a groove that manages to distill all of those sounds into their first LP, Full Flower. (Gave Us & Us a listen, shoegazer-y, definitely a band to check out!)

This show tells the stories of unsung African and African American Sheroes who fought and sacrificed their lives, their bodies, but not their souls in the neverending fight for freedom. We will tell the stories through dance, song and spoken word, of the slave girls Anarcha, Betsy and Lucy, of Sistahs against Apartheid, of West African women & girls against female excision and everyday Sheroes.
