Check out Espaco Cultural Samba Trovao, a new Brazilian cultural community center in Hyattsville during their opening weekend! This evening, there’s a new special guest teacher Treinel Roque, from Brazil by way of Canada, will teach a 2-hour capoeira angola class!

Cold Brew Coffee Tasting
Join us as we sample the new line of Chameleon Cold Brewed Coffee. Cold brew coffee is all the rage for it satisfying rich taste without bitterness. Azalea Ride Reboot
Riding to the Arboretum from Proteus to see whatever is left blooming! We’ll also stop somewhere for food. Bring lock, cash/cc, snacks/water, helmet required. Approx 25-30 miles RT with some hills and some traffic.

With over 400 interactive activities andone-day open house featuring family-friendly and interactive events. Brazilian Cultural Center – Opening Weekend Fun!
Join us for a day packed with Brazilian culture, starting with an open capoeira roda from 10am-1pm; Frevo Dance Class from 1:30-2:30pm; Samba de Rode de amigos (traga seu instrumento/bring your instrument); Samba Trovao show and dance party at 4pm to close out the evening!

Join the Greenwood School for its Silent Auction where you’ll have the chance to bid on great items like camps, birthday parties, beauty and wellness, sports memorabilia and more! Basic Wood Milling – Workshop
Join Jon Moncton of J Moncton Custom Furniture & Cabinetry as he teaches the basics of wood milling. Learn how to properly and safely mill rough lumber into flat, straight, and square stock using a jointer, planer, and table saw.

For Autism Awareness Month, we are screening this coming of age story about a boy and his family who overcame great challenges by turning Disney animated movies into a language to express love, loss, kinship and brotherhood. After the film, there will be a moderated discussion with Rev. Mark Granfors-Hunt, M. Div,. a Special Education Paraprofessional at Prince George’s County Public Schools’ James E. Duckworth Regional School.
