We’re so excited to welcome your family to our new and beautiful art studios, gallery, and outdoor play space which comes complete with an Imagination Playground. Through the creation of artwork, singing songs, creating performances, and outdoor exploration, our campers will be introduced to the essential building blocks of freedom, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the ABC’s of Activism.

Description: Back by popular demand, this summer we’re holding Global Storytelling Summer Camps in the Mt. Rainier, MD area for ages 5-13. Campers become global citizens and create animated storybooks. Give your child a trip around the world without leaving Washington, DC. Your child will: Learn about and be exposed to countries and cultures and people from new cultures; Participate in projects promoting social justice, empowerment, and multi-culturalism; Take field trips to museums, Embassies, and other iconic locations in the Washington, DC area; Create his/her own digital storybook and become a published author; Develop storytelling and applied writing and reading skills; Develop STEM programming and app-making logic skills; Learn about illustration and graphic design; Visit computer, virtual reality and 3-d printing labs; Make new friends from different countries; Build empathy, empowerment, confidence and social interaction skills; Build life-skills, confidence measures and tools to help with trauma and negative experiences; Learn about cultures; Enjoy time outdoors and physical fitness activities; Receive a Global Sleepover Global Citizenship badge. Description: Each week offers a different program theme, but all weeks include daily adventures in creative play with dress up clothes, musical instruments, beautiful arts and crafts projects, easel painting, duplo train building, cardboard construction forts and a fabulous Water Wednesday (outdoor water play with a slice of watermelon at pick-up time)! Choose a full-week option or single day passes, whichever works best for your child and your schedule. Children bring their own snack for mid-morning read-a-loud story-time. Description: Peace Camp provides children with the opportunity to explore cooperation and conflict resolution in safe and supportive environments. This year, our theme is: “Peace in Myself; Peace in the World,” as we teach our campers the skills needed to deal with their problems in a peaceful manner and encourage them to create solutions to the problems they see in the world. Activities include cooperative games, art, yoga, special guest presentations and more!
