College Park’s Taquería Habanero just celebrated its 1-year anniversary and just received word that their application for a liquor license has been approved! It’s like their birthday is our birthday is my birthday margarita!
Taquería Habanero Obtains Liquor License
Taqueria Habanero shared with Route One Fun that they have a couple of things to do before they can actually start serving us up some of their finest Patron. A quick look at the restaurant’s DC menu suggests they’ll soon be serving up some delish margaritas, mojitos, micheladas, sangria, cervezas and possibly more at their College Park location.
Don’t worry; we’ll keep you posted (so long as you subscribe here). 😉
Michelin Bib Gourmand Winner
Earlier this year, the College Park Mexican restaurant was among a select group of DC restaurants who received the coveted Michelin’s Bib Gourmand recognition. (The Bib Gourmand designates a restaurant that “serves quality food at a good value,” per Michelin, which defines good value as the ability to order two courses and a glass of wine (or dessert) for $40 or less.)
Obviously, this was great news for the restaurant, but also great new for the Route 1 Corridor! As excited as we were when a Route One Fun reader gave us the first tip for our post on Taqueria Habanero coming to College Park, we’re similarly elated with the Michelin news and the restaurant’s continued success. Cheers & Happy Birthday to one of our favorite local restaurants!
