Strong Mama: A Prenatal & Postnatal Exercise Class For Mamas!

After I had my first child, I had high aspirations of getting back into the exercise game lickety split. Or maybe it was visualizations. Either way, the mind was willing but the body was not. Things had changed and I didn’t feel strong enough to jump back on the exercise saddle. Which made sense because, well, the last thing any new mom wants to do is suffer the inevitable consequence of a jump….

As a mom herself, Amanda Holliday personally understands how difficult it can be to find guidelines on how to exercise while pregnant and how to return to exercising after you’ve given birth to what you’re now certain will be your first and only child (😄).  With this in mind, and as the owner of Bouncing Bambini, she created Strong Mama, a fitness class designed for each stage of pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

I had the chance to take a Strong Mama class and am excited to report that it was really good! Amanda clearly knows her stuff and had modifications at the ready so that we could all engage at our own level of comfort. In addition to getting a good workout, the Strong Mama class provides an opportunity for moms and moms-to-be to interact and learn from each other. I recall signing up for prenatal yoga just so that I could be around other pregnant moms, to oogle their development in anticipation and preparation for my own. Too Type A, perhaps. But whatever, man; it worked. T’was comforting. And that’s what this Strong Mama class provides – a guided exercise along with the comfort of being around other reproducers who have no clue what the future holds but similarly hoping, and stretching, for the best.

Classes & Information:

Strong Mama is a Prenatal/Postnatal fitness class designed to get every mama feeling strong! Exercises are tailored for each stage of pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

Baby Mombo is a baby wearing dance exercise class designed by Amanda to help parents sweat and smile while their little ones are wrapped up in love! This class is taught with multiple levels of intensity to match what is comfortable for you and your baby.


Zumbini© is a music and movement class for children aged 0-4 years old to attend with their fun-living caregiver where they will sing, dance, make music, and make memories together!
