Hayrides, Music Classes, Paint with Watercolor, 123 Andres, FutureFest and more all happening this weekend near the Route 1 corridor! Lucky ducks!

The Great Frederick Fair (All Ages)
Plenty to do at the fairgrounds. Midway rides, animal exhibits, competitions, demonstrations, and live music! And the food, mm. The food. A day of indulgence!
When: 9am-9pm (Note: carnival opens @ 5pm)

Music Together SoHy Demo Classes (Ages 1-5)

Take the family on a scenic hayride in Watkins Regional Park. Perfect photo op for you and your fab family!

123 Andrés: Bilingual Children’s Music (Ages 0-5)
A Latin Grammy-winning music duo at the library? To be so lucky! The bilingual pair will have you jiving in no time. Shake your body line, Señora!

SATURDAY

Pick Your Own Apples (All Ages)
Apples are in season! Picnic tables and play areas. Possibly hayrides and animals. Sometimes pick your own flowers. Bring extra $ ‘cause caramel apples are a must!
When: 9am-5pm (rain or shine!)
Where: Homestead Farms, Poolesville
Cost: $2 admission/person; $1.49-$2.49/pound depending on the amount you pick

Arts Drop-in: Paint with Watercolor (Ages 3-8)
Let your kids go to work making a masterpiece. All materials provided. Take home their artwork for display!

Goshen Farm Open House (All Ages)
Explore an 18th century farmhouse. Discover the butterfly display and pollinator and veggie gardens. Experience beekeeping and kids activities for all critters!

Open Gym Playtime
Get ready for a high energy, teacher-led class designed to help your child develop physical movement skills! Run, jump, tumble and land on two feet!

STEMtastic: Back to School Force and Motion (Ages 5-12)
Create a marble painting, enter the “Make It Move” challenge! See what force and motion are about. With parental approval, kids get refreshments and program favors!

Fast forward into the future at this cool expo and cultural crossroads. Design a futuristic home. Dabble in collaborative art installations. Discover the innovations reshaping our future. Guest appearances by the Jetsons (jk!).

37th Annual Hispanic Festival (All Ages)
Celebrate Hispanic culture and heritage, rich in Prince George’s County. Take pleasure in performances, ethnic foods, carnival rides, kids activities like face painting, pony rides, and more! Bring lawn chairs or blankets, park it for the day!
When: 12-6pm

Family Fun at Springhill Lake Recreation Center
Consider your Sunday afternoons booked! With family playtime this fall at the rec center. Group games and drop-in gym time. Complimentary rec equipment w/ facility ID.
