Storytime PopUp! @ The Waterhole

Port Discovery’s Pop-Up Play Space
Spark your child’s imagination as you play and learn together at Port Discovery’s Pop-Up Play Space! Located at The Shops at Kenilworth, the Pop-Up Play Space features fun and educational drop-in programs for infants and toddlers, messy art (think paint!), and fun, hands-on building activities.
When: 11am

Family Movie Night: Remember the Titans
Bring your entire family out and join the Deerfield Run staff for an evening at the Deerfield Run Community Center Movie Theater. We will be viewing Remember the Titans, starring Denzel Washington. Light refreshments will be provided.
When: 7pm
Where: Deerfield Run Community Center, Laurel
Cost: Free!

Culture Playdate
Family-friendly set of activities with a goal to help participants engage with African American history and tradition through art-based learning.

Glitz & Glam Kids Pop Up Spa (Ages 3+)
Spa robes, facials, mani’s and pedi’s for your little one, while you enjoy mimosas and shopping with @kryssicloset!

AAAS Family Science Days 2019
AAAS Family Science Days is an opportunity for scientific institutions in the DC area to connect with kids and families through fun and exciting hands-on activities and events. When: 11am-4pm
Where: Marriott Wardman Park, Hall A, Washington, DC
Cost: Free!

Creative Saturday: Writing Process through Hip-Hop with Baba Bomani (Ages 6-12)
The writing workshops are conducted using the BARS curriculum. BARS (the Bomani Armah wRiting System) shows students how a well-written essay resembles a well-written song, with the Main Idea being the thesis paragraph in an essay and a chorus/refrain/hook in a song, while the Supporting Details in an essay are just like the verses.
When: 1-3pm
Where: Joe’s Movement Emporium, Mt. Rainier
Cost: $10

Family Fun / Divercion para su Familia
Music and singing. Foster appreciation, imagination and exploration in your child through our diverse and creative experiences.

SUNDAY

Ice Skating Party
Join Hyattsville Elementary School on the ice! Please note that only tickets sold before the eventwill count toward the fundraiser. All are welcome!
When: 2-4pm
Where: Herbert Wells Ice Rink, 5211 Paint Branch Pkwy, College Park
Cost: $6.00 per ticket (for admission & skate rental)
