With spring break in full swing and Easter this weekend, a lot of Route 1 families are headed out of town, so it’s a little quiet in the events department. For those staying around, there are still some great activities to check out, including egg hunts in College Park and Bladensburg and a celebration of Giant Pandas at the National Zoo in D.C.

Hyattsville Library Ready 2 Read Storytime (ages 3-5)
Bring your preschooler and enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, and more at the brand new Hyattsville Library. The story time will be held outdoors, but be sure to stop inside to see the new space while you’re there.

Partygoers can enjoy special treats from the Chinese Embassy, lion dance performances, live music, panda-themed food specials, and the world premiere of Smithsonian Channel’s “The Miracle Panda.”
