Miller’s Ale House Hyattsville Opens Monday (10/19)

Sports fan? Beer fan? Good food fan? All of the above? Well lucky for you, Miller’s Ale House restaurant and sports bar is opening its Hyattsville location on Monday, October 19th! Located in the parking lot of the Mall at Prince George’s (by 410 & Toledo Rd), this new casual dining spot is a welcome addition to the community.

And it has 48 BEERS ON TAP – including craft beers from beloved Maryland breweries such as Denizens, Duclaw, Flying Dog, RAR, Manor Hill, Reckless, Union and Heavy Seas. AND kids eat free on Tuesdays! (See below.) We were treated to a taste of their menu and ambiance at today’s soft opening. Here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect at your upcoming visit!

Miller’s Ale House, Hyattsville

With table, high-top, booth, extra-long booth, bar seating (and probably additional styles we may have missed), you can have your pick of places to sit at this new restaurant. All of the tables were suitably spaced to allow for social distancing.

As we shared in our 2019 post here about the restaurant, “Miller’s Ale House currently has 90+ locations across the US. With a Miller’s Ale House in Rockville and Bel Air, the Hyattsville location will be their third location in Maryland.”

Zingers, Osso Buco, Fish & Chips, Burgers & More

Miller’s is well-known for their “Zingers” (long, buttermilk-drenched chicken tenders) that come with a medley of sauces with varying degrees of heat. We tried them with about 4 different sauces – and they do indeed live up to the hype.

We also tried the cheese curds because – cheese. They were tasty – like crispy, fried, salty mozzarella bites. Yum!

Getting salmon at a non-fish-focused restaurant is always a gamble. Thankfully, we pulled a Lucky 7 as the Blackened Salmon was delish!

The Blackened Shrimp and Chicken Cobb was a tasty way to fill up for lunch – and have enough leftover for dinner!

Other menu favorites include their Half Rack BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Fettuccini Alfredo, Mahi Tacos, English Pub Fish and Chips, and Zingers Mac & Cheese.

Fish and chips is always a good choice! (And you *will* have enough leftover for tomorrow!)

You can take a look at their full menu here.

Kid-Friendly Restaurant

If you’ve followed Route One Fun enough, you know that we give extra love to restaurants that make families feel welcome. (Dining out with kids is rarely a “relaxing” experience, but sometimes we need a break from the kitchen, too. So a restaurant that actually has a legit Kids’ Menu (and doesn’t give us the side-eye for having offspring) actually makes a BIG difference.)

Kids Menu at Miller's Ale House

Not only does Miller’s have a Kids’ Menu, KIDS EAT FREE on Tuesdays! Whoop, whoop! Dine-in only and limited to 1 free kids meal with the purchase of an adult entree.

Covid-Safety Precautions

All of the staff were wearing masks at all times. The tables were all spaced appropriately to allow for social-distancing. Our table was cleaned before we sat down and we noticed staff also cleaning tables off after customers left.

Outdoor Dining

While we opted to eat inside, there is outdoor service should you wish to eat on their patio. (TVs there, too!) At this time, they do not have heat lamps outside but that may change.

65 Televisions

We just made that number up. If you think we’ve got time to count all of the televisions at Miller’s, we’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. 😉 Point is – this place has a TON of televisions all around. All sports, all the time.

Stop by Miller’s Ale House next week and comment back with what you think!

Miller’s Ale House is located at 3430 East-West Hwy, Hyattsville, MD 20782
