Great Halloween Events for Route 1 Kids!

Here to save Halloween for Route 1 kids are these great, family-friendly events in Hyattsville, Riverdale Park, College Park, Greenbelt – and more as to come! Speaking of, add any you we may have missed in the comments below! We’ll update as soon as possible! Please observe social distancing and wear appropriate masks at all/any event(s).

Boo To the Flu!

Community health center, CCI Health & Wellness Services, hosts Boo to the Flu—a pop-up vaccination clinic—to encourage the local community to get their flu shots and caught-up on routine immunizations. The outdoor event will also include a socially distant trunk-or-treat staffed by CCI employees and a photo booth for creating fun family memories.
When: Friday, October 30th, 4:30-7:30pm
Where: CCI-Greenbelt, 9220 Springhill Lane
Cost: Free!

Hallo-Boo Drive Thru 

Collect Halloween treats while you drive through a spooky Duvall Field! Celebrate with us in your scariest or sparkliest costumes. Decorate your car in the Halloween spirit and you can win a $50 gift card to a College Park business of your choosing! *Registration is required!*
When: Friday, October 30th from 5-8pm
Where: Duvall Field, College Park
Cost: Free! Must register.

Halloween Porch Play 

A distanced Live Music event to celebrate the fall season. Musical acts will celebrate around the neighborhoods of College Park, including songs from Eric Maring (Mr M) and sons, taiko drumming, fiddle tunes from Transatlantic Crossing, a drum circle with Kristen Arant, Schoolhouse Rock favorites from Professor Goldstein and the Adjuncts, and live and DJ’d new wave, postpunk, Halloween music, pop, and spoken word from Color Out of College Park.
When: Saturday, October 31st, 12pm onwards
Where: Around College Park (see link)
Cost: Free!

Halloween at The Station

We’re celebrating Halloween this year at The Station with free socially-distanced activities perfect for the whole family. Don your costume and join us for: A photo scavenger hunt with instant film cameras; A socially-distanced treat chute; Nine holes of mini golf; Take-home Halloween crafts; Food trucks; A virtual raffle with prizes from your favorite local retailers! RSVP here to let us know you can join. We’ll see you on Halloween!
When: Saturday, October 31st, starting at 1pm (reserve a time slot)
Where: Riverdale Park Statuon
Cost: Free!

Halloween Outdoor Spooktacular Dance Class

Not sure what to do for Halloween?? Then join Posh for a family fun socially distanced outdoor dance class. Come learn fun dances like Thriller, the Monster Mash, and many more. Make sure you wear a costume so you can enter our costume contest! The best costume wins a prize. Register now! This is a family fun event!!
When: Saturday, October 31st, 3-4pm
Where: Posh Cycling & Fitness Studio, College Park
Cost: $10/person ($15

Halloween Dance Party at Posh in College Park!

Hyattsville Grab N’ Go Treat-O-Rama 

Looking for a fun, yet safe way to enjoy Halloween? Meet us in costume at Magruder Park or Heurich Park to pick up goody bags via drive-thru or walk-up options. (Heurich Park is walk-up only) You can also take festive selfies and meet a special City guest!
When: Saturday, October 31st, 4-6pm
Where: Magurder & Heurich Park, Hyattsville
Cost: Free!
