Guilford Woods, like every part of the Anacostia watershed, is home to many different species. The Coalition to Save Guilford Woods and the Anacostia Watershed Society invite citizen scientists in grades 3-5 to come out and document the biodiversity in this beautiful ecosystem.
Tour Guilford Woods and discover some of the fascinating species living in this environmentally sensitive area. Snap photos and learn how to use the free iNaturalist app to identify the plants and animals you observe. Group leaders will have smart devices to share with participants. Kids will also have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour, scavenger hunt, and other activities to learn more about the ecology of Guilford Woods and the importance of biodiversity. Grades 3-5. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing! For more information and registration: tinyurl.com/ht9n5jhs
