Black History Collection Focus of First LHS Collections Conversation

The Laurel Historical Society celebrates Black History Month by inaugurating a new Collections Conversation Series. LHS staff will explore iconic images and materials from its collection that focus on the Black experience in Laurel. These will include the c.1910 Emancipation Day parade photograph, and unidentified images from our photograph collection. The webinar is free, and the public is encouraged to join in the conversation to become community curators and help tell a fuller story of Laurel’s past. Register in advance at:
