Route 1 Gets New Mural in Downtown College Park
There’s a new mural in town – this time just above Nando’s Peri-Peri in College Park! This vibrant new public art just off the Route 1 corridor features native Maryland species including Baltimore’s Checkerspot Butterfly, Black-eyed Susan and a Diamondback Terrapin. (Notice, too, its incorporation of the Maryland flag’s gold, black, white and red colors.)

Chances are, if live or work in one of the Route 1 communities, you’ve had the pleasure of seeing this beautiful public mural at the intersection of Flower Avenue and Piney Branch Road. (Ok. So while this is not Route 1, we do know that you sometimes leave the house/area, so it’s mighty possible that you’ve also been curious about this beauty. 🙂 )
