Bowie Baysox Baseball – with a Dog!
My son and I were getting our hair cut on a Sunday morning and I was thinking of things for us to do that day. Across the way he spotted a Bowie Baysox schedule. “Perfect!” I think, remembering that I have a discount ticket of some sort at home. We checked it out and discovered that, not only did they have a home game that day, but that it was “take your dog to the ballpark” day. By random chance we had a house guest that weekend – a fantabulous dog named Goober!
Toddler Time at Hyattsville’s Art Works Now!
Took my lil lady to check out Toddler Time at Art Works Now’s new location in Hyattsville earlier this month! We were at their first official program at their new place. Who else can say that, other than everyone else in the class?!?
Check it Out: Local Fun! Patuxent Research Refuge
Me and the little lady stopped by the Patuxent Research Refuge in Laurel earlier this week for one of their free Tiny Tots programs. The program is described as a way for “children to learn about wildlife at the refuge through fun and interactive songs and rhyming.” After gathering in a semi-circle, instructor Ms. Diana Ogilvie kicked things off with some purdy fascinating facts about birds. Afterwards, we headed outside to collect more sticks and catch some sunbeams on the Refuge on a wonderfully, sunny day.
Kids Rise + Rhyme at Hyattsville’s Busboys and Poets!
Headed down to Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville this morning to do some movin’ and groovin’ with my lil lady at Rise + Rhyme. Every Monday morning from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m, this fun, weekly program promises to get the kiddos (usually best for those 5 years old and younger though any age welcomed) moving and entertained with interactive storytelling and musical performances.
