Today’s the Day: Get Your Gruit On
Today is International Gruit Day. And yes, autocorrect, I meant to type “gruit” (pronounced GREW IT) and not “fruit” (NOT pronounced FREW IT). Matt Humbard, Hyattsville’s own microbiologist-turned brewer who’ll soon be opening Patent Brewing Company And Laboratories, drops knowledge about this ancient brewing tradition and lets us know where along the Route 1 Corridor we can enjoy this taste of history today.

Miller’s Ale House Coming to Hyattsville’s Mall at Prince George’s
Hyattsville’s soon getting a new casual sports restaurant and bar! Miller’s Ale House is slated to open at the Mall at Prince George’s in Hyattsville this fall. The restaurant’s menu is full of steaks, chicken, burgers, salad, seafood and over 75 kinds of micro, macro (who knew?!), seasonal and domestic beers!
