Love to shop local along the Route 1 Corridor and love scoring sweet vintage goods? Then check out this treat: Lost and Found Handworks – an amazing vintage store owned and operated by the Gateway Arts District’s own Kate Geyer – will be hosting a Vintage Pop-Up Market at Riverdale Park’s Banana Blossom Bistro this Saturday, December 14th from 12-4pm! Locally sourced and beautifully curated vintage goods just waiting to finda new life in your home. It’s like all of our Christmases came at once!
Lost and Found Handworks
Most of us ohh and ahh about vintage goods without knowing much about the history behind them. But what if you learned that the beautiful plate you’re eyeing is made of “carnival glass, finished with a final fire to achieve the rainbow glass effect it’s so famous for”? Well, this is the precise experience you gain when you shop with Kate; this local lady can tell you the story behind every piece in her carefully curated collection for Lost and Found Handworks, making you feel that bit richer for knowing the history of this present from the past.

Lost + Found Handworks is a small, woman-owned business rooted in the Hyattsville area, devoted to bringing pieces with stories, and the makers and processes that gave them life, to homes all around the world.
And speaking of rich – while these goods will make you feel and your home look like a million bucks, trust that they’re all fairly priced. I know because I’ve already made a number of purchases – and like the Wu, I’m quite strict with my dolla dolla bills, y’all.
