Easel with Whiteboard Workshop
Pique your child’s visual arts interests with our hands-on workshop where you and your child can build an easel. Your young artist can display artwork from school or create a new masterpiece on the dry-erase whiteboard keeping the project mess free. (Tip: Supplies do run out so best to arrive early.)
Posh Kids Yoga
Check out a free kids yoga class as part of Posh’s Open House!

Mt. Rainier Nature Center
Check out some hands-on exhibits, live animals, educational displays, a play area and more at this fun, lo-fi, petite, local site. Read about our fun time here!

Beloved Joe’s art teachers Clara Majors brings visual and performing arts training and traditions from her home country of Peru to this week’s Creative Saturday event. Upcycling old CDs, styrofoam trays, odd buttons, and scraps of wood into something magical under Clara’s direction! This class may get messy – so dress accordingly!
Gymnastics Workshop / Open Gym at PG Sports & Learning Complex
This place is really great for 1-12 year olds! HUGE. Two climbing walls. Two foam pits. Tons of equipment for curious ones to explore and blow off some steam. Very clean. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parents are required to be on the floor with the children (Maximum 3 child:1 adult). Check out my review here!

Join us the first Saturday of every month as we explore a different aviation themed topic through STEAM-based, hands on activities. This is a drop-in program, fun for children.

Storytime & Check out a new library! (Storytime for ages 3 – 5)
Storytime and your chance to check out the newly reopened New Carrollton Library. It’s a beaut and the underwater-themed kids room is great! More about our visit to the New Carrollton library here.

Lake Artemesia
There’s sun in the forecast (as of the time I write this post) so head outside and go for a stroll or a bike ride or a slow but enjoyable crawl along lovely Lake Artemesia! Last time we went, spotted some turtles, frogs, ducks & birds of all stripes, beautiful lilipads & more!

Arts Drop In at MilkBoy ArtHouse
College Park Arts Exchange does their Arts Drop-In at MilkBoy ArtHouse! Seating and capacity is limited. Project supplies are provided at no cost. While not required to buy anything, you may find it hard to do the project without being by a table, so make a morning out of it, purchase brunch and do your artwork on the support of a table.
