Great Food, Outdoor Dining & Kid-Friendly Fun at The Hall, College Park

There’s also delish brunch (Avocado Toast Benedict, S’mores Pancakes…) and great happy hour specials at The Hall, CP – but we’re getting ahead of ourselves!

The Hall CP collage of photosIf you haven’t made it yet to The Hall College Park, then let us catch you up on what to expect from this great new, family-friendly addition to our local dining scene!

Colorful Decor at The Hall CP

Set behind the Hotel UMD and in the heart of UMD’s “Discovery District,” The Hall CP is 20,000 square feet of pure funk. Colorful murals brighten the tall and airy entryway to the main dining hall and bar areas. Seating includes a mixture of booths and tables.

Inside The Hall CP

Scene as you enter The Hall CP. Cafe area is closed for the time being so make way towards Pizza Oven for restaurant.

Creative and Kid-Friendly Menu

While you can definitely get your nachos and hamburgers here (7 to choose from), you can also treat yourself to delights such as a Seared Tuna Poke bowl, Short Rib Tacos and Street Cauliflower (with chili lime mayo and cotija cheese). Don’t mind if I do!

Street Cauliflower

Definitely order the Street Cauliflower. And share only if you must. 😉

They have a kids menu. We repeat, “They Have a Kids Menu.” When a restaurant does not have such and instead mumbles something about crafting a meal off of the existing menu, it just makes this family feel like their minions are not *really* welcome there. And that feeling stinks.

Kids menu at The Hall CP

Kids menu includes a choice of grilled chicken, chicken tenders and a cheesburger. Delish pizza is also an option!

Instead, The Hall CP has a Kids Menu and coloring paper and crayons and chalk for the young (and not so young) to do their artistic thang on the restaurant’s outdoor area while mommy sips her Electric Lemonade slushy. $6. Nuff said.

Keep drawing, sunshine. I’ve got a ways to go.

Friendly & Safe Staff

All of the staff at The Hall CP were wearing face masks. (And wearing them fully; none of that half-mask action.) They wipe down every table and chair before you’re seated. Tables are all 6-feet apart and there are hand sanitizing stations throughout the restaurant. server at The Hall CP

Brandon, The Hall CP’s manager (and a Riverdale Park resident – yay!), gave us a lovely tour of the restaurant and event space. While there are no events going on right now due to COViD, you could spend your whole meal time daydreaming about what events, shows, productions, movies you’d like to see once we safely get through this pandemic together.

Dog-Friendly Restaurant

Right there, by the chalk collection, we noticed a couple of water bowls for dogs. You know we love our canines! Turns out dogs are welcome at The Hall CP’s outdoor area! Eat at one of the many lovely tables outside alongside your four-legged best friend. 🙂

TONS. TONS OF OUTDOOR SEATING AND MEANDERING SPACE!

Outdoor dining area

Yes, the caps are intentional because outdoor space is a hot commodity right now and The Hall’s outdoor space is HUGE!

We’re so happy The Hall CP invited us to check out their menu and space. We’ll definitely be returning to eat at and support this fun, kid & dog-friendly spot – and highly recommend you do, too!

Curious about hours and more on the restaurant’s safety protocols? Read on for more info directly from The Hall CP.

Expanded Hours at The Hall CP

The Hall CP is excited to announce our expanded hours and offerings! We are available for outdoor and indoor seating Monday through Friday from 4pm to 9pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 9pm. Yes, that means brunch is back! Enjoy our famous Egg King or Avocado Benedict on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 3pm. Happy Hour is every weekday from 4pm to 7pm – enjoy $1 off draft beer, $2 off glasses of wine and $5 rails. To make our return even sweeter, Sundays are now known as Study Hall and we’re offering 50% of all drinks, all day.

Not comfortable dining out? No problem! Our food tastes even better as takeout. You can order on our website (thehallcp.com), Instagram (@thehallcp) or by calling us at 443-821-0472.

Safety Protocol at The Hall CP

As excited as we are to be back serving the College Park community, we are even more excited to foster a safe space for family and friends to enjoy time together, safely. We are following the below protocol and we kindly ask that our customers do the same:

  • Wear a mask! Everyone greeting you, serving you and preparing your food will be wearing a mask. You are welcome to take off our mask while eating, but until then please keep it on.
  • Wash your hands frequently! Our staff are continuing to wash their hands often and thoroughly. You should too!
  • Table distance & capacity limitations! We are adhering to all PG County guidelines and all tables are at least 6 feet apart. No more than six people will be seated at one table.
  • Table & chair sanitization! We wipe down every table and chair before a new guest is seated. Please never hesitate to ask for your table to be wiped down again! The answer will always be yes.
  • Disposable menus! Not the most environmentally friendly (and we’re working on that), but for the time being we will be giving each customer a fresh, unused menu.
  • Hand sanitizing stations! You can find these at the entrance and throughout the restaurant.

Bartender serving drinks at The Hall CP

We can’t wait to share our delicious food with you whether you’re inside, getting takeout or enjoying the largest outdoor seating option in the College Park area. We’ve missed you!

The Hall CP is located at 4656 Hotel Dr, College Park, MD 20742.
