Thanks to the University Park Civic Association, University Park now has a new Little Free Library directly across from its Tot Lot! 👏 (If you’re not familiar – A Little Free Library is a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange.) I’m thrilled and grateful that they installed a LFL here as they really do help instill a sense of community and inspire a new generation of book lovers.

Speaking of community, the vibrant Dr. Seuss-themed artwork adorning the LFL was done by UP resident, Terisa Flick! Turns out Terisa is also the artist for the other two LFL in UP. Bravo and thank you, Terisa!

This LFL unveiling was especially meaningful to me as I got a chance to read Princesses Wear Pants, an instant NYT Bestselling children’s book illustrated by MY SISTER – EVA BYRNE! – and written by some other folks you may know….NBC’s Today Co-Anchor Show Savannah Guthrie and educator Allison Oppenheim. Go Eva! ❤
As you can see, the kids got busy exploring the donated books and wasted no time tucking themselves into their new book, chilly weather notwithstanding!
Stop by the University Park Little Free Library and donate some gently used kids’ books when you can! Thanks!
