Join in the Hyattsville Zombie Run Fun!

The Hyattsville Zombie Run is happening Saturday, October 16th! Registrants will run, walk, skip along a great course with neighbors costumed as zombies, unicorns, pumpkins – and some even as themselves! – at this wonderful fundraiser for our local schools! Can’t do in-person? There’s a virtual option, too!

If you’re a parent or loved one of a kiddo, then chances are you’ve got some extra, unused diapers taking up space in your home. Before you think about throwing them out, though – please, please, please consider donating them to the Greater DC Diaper Drive happening now through Sunday, May 16th at Hyattsville’s Mall at Prince George’s.

Local Artists: $2K for Sculptures via Riverdale Park Public Art Initiative

The Hyattsville CDC recently announced a call for artists for the Riverdale Park Art Initiative. Seeks 5 sculptures of various styles and sizes to display for a one year-long placement in Riverdale Park. The stipend for selection in this Call is $2,000 per selected work. Know an artist whose work might fit the bill? Great! The deadline is apply if March 19th – so get this info their way ASAP!
