Friday Along the Route 1 Corridor

Vigilante Coffee Cuppings
From plant to the cup, learn about all the basic steps coffee goes through and what makes it taste so good. (And, of course, buy a cup of coffee while there because it’s deeelish!)

PG Power Moves!
Calling all Power Movers to our monthly artful networking event that features: a live performance, an art auction, an atmosphere of networking and fellowship, as we acknowledge notable people of color that live work and play in Prince George’s County or the DC Metropolitan area.

Norse Mythology Lecture
Historian Jessica Cawley is excited to return to the Meadworks for another talk about her favorite subject – the Vikings. Come for the mead, stay for the eight-legged horse.

Saturday Along the Route 1 Corridor

College Park ParkRun 
Head out on for a weekly, free, 5K, timed run. Afterwards, enjoy a post parkrun coffee in The Board & Brew, 8150 Baltimore Ave, College Park. All ages welcome!
When: Saturdays at 9 a.m.
Where: Paint Branch Trail, 4289 Metzerott Road, College Park
Cost: Free but please register before your first run.

7th Annual Book Festival
Meet and greet 20+ authors and illustrators. Interact with Community Partners. Used Book Sale. Sign up for Arts Group or Photography Club & more!
When: 1:30pm-4:30pm

Hike, History & Hops
Drive a bit to enjoy a leisurely hike along #9 Trolley Trail in Ellicott City (our visit (and hops recommendation) here . Stop by the Benjamin Banneker Museum on the trail. Round up excursion with some craft beer at Manor Hill Tavern.  Weather’s supposed to be good to enjoy some time outdoors!

Where: Park near the Trolley Stop, 6 Oella Ave, Ellicott City

Lake Artemesia
There’s sun in the forecast (as of the time I write this post) so head outside and go for a stroll or a bike ride or a slow but enjoyable crawl along lovely Lake Artemesia! Last time we went, spotted some turtles, frogs, ducks & birds of all stripes, beautiful lilipads & more!

Visionary Women: Saluting Prince George’s County Trailblazers

Members of the Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Ensemble will grace the Meadworks stage for your listening pleasure. For your eating pleasure, local favorite 2fifty Texas BBQ will “pop-up” to prepare some of their delicious

Space Clearing 101
Space clearing is a wonderful process that can be used to energetically clean and clear a space. Review basic components of a space clearing, the variety of tools that can be used and how to invite supportive energy into your spaces.

Women’s History Month Beer Class
Drink in a class of women’s brewing history (ever wonder about the origin of witch imagery?) punctuated with beer brewed by women (like the first woman head brewer in Belgium) and bites, La Mere (inspired by Chef Ruth’s mentor Madeleine Kamman).

Prenatal Yoga

    * Saturday, March 23rd, 6-10 pm: Blues and BBQ! Three sets of live music from the Archie Edwards Blues Foundation plus delicious barbecue from 250 Texas BBQ. There will even be a *vegan* option this time! Food service begins at 6pm followed by music at 7pm.

    * Sunday, March 24th, noon-7 pm: Sunday Funday! Come chill, talk, play board games, and enjoy our newest mead, Zanzibar. Walk or bike over – it’s going to be a nice day!

    * Producers Dinner at Franklin’s, March 26 & 27. Featuring the fab four craft beverage makers in town!
