Watkins Nature Center
Checked out this nature center yet? Great place to explore, especially when the weather’s cold! Full of birds, snakes, insects, reptiles amphibians as well as puppets / dress-up and roomy enough for little legs to carefully run around. Did I mention it’s free? 😉

Storytime PopUp! @ The Waterhole
Storytime tucked inside a delicious juice bar in Mount Rainier! Curious? Check out my post about Storytime here. While in Mt. Rainier, why not fill out your morning with a visit to the nearby Nature Center (also free!). Storytime best for ages 0-3. Nature Center good for all ages.
When: 10am

Toddler Time @ Art Works Now
Open studio time for toddlers and their accompanying adults. Even the youngest children can explore a variety of age-appropriate art materials in a safe, fun environment. What to expect? Read my review of Toddler Time at Art Works Now.

Bibliobop Dance Party
Calling all Preschoolers and Toddlers! Come and bust a move and shake your sillies out at the Greenbelt Bibliobop Dance Party. Bring your parents or caregivers and prepare to boogie and bop until we all drop!

Crafting Our Legacy: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration

Disney Songs and More for 0-8 Year Olds
(Not along Route 1 but sounds like something many kiddos would enjoy!) Enjoy live music, including some Disney songs and more!

Jitterbug Club (Ages 2-6)
New class! Kiddos 2-6 will love this open play date filled with movement, music and fun (taught by Kendra and Marcel, 2 instructors at Joe’s who are SOOOO good with kids and who the kiddos love!)

Creative Movement (Ages 3-6 years old)
Geared towards teaching kids who would like to learn to dance, we will take a relaxed approach to our practice – preserving fun, free movement and artistic interpretation while teaching the building blocks for further study. In class each week, we will focus on a different style of dance (including ballet, hip hop, jazz, and modern) to give students a taste of each one.

⭐ Creative Saturdays: Family Rhythms (Ages 6 – 12)
Step! Popular Club Joe’s Aftercare instructor James Fleet introduces children to the precise rhythmic and percussive movement of Step. Stepping is based on a long and rich tradition in African-based communities that use movement, words, and sounds to communicate allegiance to a group. Dress prepared to move!
