Celebrating the Life & Poetry of Langston Hughes in Hyattsville, Photography Exhibit exploring grand landscapes in Mount Rainier, DJ Happy Hour in College Park, Core de Force in Cheverly, Guest Speaker following "On the Basis of Sex" in Greenbelt & more, all this weekend! THURSDAY

Riverdale Park Farmers Market
One of my fave farmers markets! We love strolling around the Riverdale Park Farmers Market, buying some fresh, local produce, grabbing a bite from one of the vendors and then heading to Town Center Market for a tasty beverage. **Bonus for furloughed employees: Any customer with a federal government ID will receive a $5 gift certificate at the RPFM's information booth. Offer lasts each Thursday until the shutdown is over. 👏

Preview DJ Happy Hour
Reviving our weekly DJ happy hour every Thursday - This weeks special guest Kenny M. and residents Chris Stauffer & Jon_MFD. We provide an intimate lounge with house and techno played by live local DJs on the second floor art gallery. Food and drink specials.

Picture Hanging Workshop
Learn hands-on how to hang posters, pictures and frames to create a stylish gallery wall a la Living by Lovett Workshop.

Open House: Creative Saints Loft
Been trying to find time to visit this new spot? Come to the open house and explore this new creative space.

Get Crafty / Artsy at Furlough Friday
Burn some creative energy in at Pyramid Atlantic as you learn form the pros how to pull a print, stencil ink, make a zine & enjoy an interview-based performance and mural creation at Studio SoHy with artist Josh Franco.

Yes, this is in downtown DC but have to share as I highly recommend catching Dumi (of Zimbabwe Legit) do his thing! Had the chance to hear him and his exploration of rhymes, beats, and cultural infusions in Mt. Rainier a while back and he's tre good.

Hatha Yoga

Dom Flemons: The American Songster
Take a journey through a century of folklore and musical styles, including ragtime, blues, country western, bluegrass, and more with Dom Flemons: The American Songster. This tour de force of American music illuminates the history and influence of African American musicians on a century of song.

Guest Speaker for "On the Basis of Sex" after the 7:30pm Show

A Taste of Tea 
Come in out of the cold and join us for tea, the “comfort drink!” We will taste various teas, such as green, black, herbal, and white, and will learn a little history of the beverage. Scones will be served with jam and lemon curd. A casual, fun, buffet style get-together, while meeting new friends and neighbors - you don't want to miss this!

Opening Reception for "The World Through My Eyes" 
Explore grand landscapes, epic sunsets, intimate images, and other interests at this photography exhibit by Gary J. Kohn. Light refreshments will be served.

Community Yoga
